Pennsylvania police found a missing Beaver County man shot dead in the trunk of his own car just hours after missing person report.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 28-year-old Junaid Akhlas from Beaver Creek. Akhlas’ family filed a missing persons report Tuesday morning and he was found later that afternoon.
The Tribune Review reports he was assumed missing from his home around 8 a.m.
According to KDKA 2, family was searching for him when they found his white Toyota in an abandoned gas station parking lot in Moon County. Prompting them to call the police around 12:40 p.m.
It has been revealed Akhlas suffered at least one gunshot wound to the head.
One witness told KDKA he saw blood on the trunk as authorities removed the body. Police are currently investigating.
