Update: The body of Enrique Cortez-Duban, 6, had been found around Surf Drive in Panama City Beach. His body had washed up on the beach, 1.5 miles from his last known location.
Police believe he had been abducted or had drowned, “the evidence leads us to believe he went missing in the water,” according to Fox News.
The cause of death has not been released, but it has been suggested Cortez-Dubon had been in the water.
Enrique Cortez-Duban, 6, disappeared in the early hours of Monday, July 5. According to investigators, he was last seen in a coastal town located 100 miles from Pensacola.
Cortez-Duban’s description goes as follows: 3 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 50 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. Since his last whereabouts, he had been wearing a teal shirt with a wave and blue shorts. His facial features consist of a large mole on his back.
