An 18-year-old man was found shot to death early Friday morning on July 9 at an apartment complex in Daytona Beach, FL, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.
According to a press release, Adolphus Butler was found dead in the hallway of an apartment complex at 1259 Ninth St.
Click Orlando News reported that officers found Butler suffering from a gunshot wound. Butler was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators told Click Orlando News that they are working to find out what led to the shooting and have active leads about the suspected shooter.
“I just think we are in a day and age where we are all looking over our shoulder,” Daytona Beach police Capt. Trisha Loomis said. “We’ve had a lot of incidents in the city so, obviously, everybody is on edge with what’s going on.”
