Nevander “Van” Tardy was 27-years-old when he was found shot to death in Bowling Green, Kentucky in July of 2018.
In an earlier report from WBKO, witnesses said they heard a confrontation before gunshots.
Tardy’s mother, Temple Satterfield-Bowen, turned to WBKO to help search for answers. She misses her son dearly.
She told WBKO the anniversary of her son’s death is always hard for her, “No random phone calls, no laughing no big smile is what he had.”
Tardy’s mother still doesn’t understand what he was doing in Bowling Green. He would have been 31 in November according to WBKO.
Tardy has three children, the oldest being 11. Satterfield-Bowen says, “His kids are getting older. The oldest one now has questions. Our last visit was very, very hard with her at his gravesite, because now she’s wondering, she said, ‘Granny did the person not know that he had little children?’”
The family of Tardy is asking anyone with information in his death to call Bowling Green Police at (270) 393-4000 or South Central Kentucky Crime Stoppers at (270) 781-CLUE.
