Jennifer Coleen Moore, 41, had been missing since June 19, 2017. Moore had been wearing a white tank top, dark-colored shorts, dark-colored tennis shoes, and sunglasses on the day of her disappearance. After three years, her body was discovered, and the suspect faces homicide charges.
In January 2021, a person reported discovering human remains in the Butte County area of Forest Ranch. The remains had belonged to Moore.
Dustin Troy Kimball, 47, was placed into a local jail on Tuesday based on online records. According to evidence, Kimball had been in a relationship with Moore before her murder.
On the day of her disappearance, Moore, a Glenn County resident, was picked up by her boyfriend, Kimball. The couple had plans to purchase a vehicle. However, Moore never came home. Kimball had told police he last saw Moore in Butte County after dropping her off.
A potential motive has not been disclosed; however, Kimball is scheduled for a court date for the upcoming Wednesday.
