Sarah Everard, 33, disappeared on March 3, after walking home from her friend’s house in London; since her disappearance, police made a breakthrough.
Police led an investigation, which led to the discovery of her body. After a week, Everard’s body had been found 50 miles from her last location. On Tuesday, Everard’s autopsy results revealed the cause of death as a compression of the neck.
Wayne Couzens, 48, a police officer, has been charged with abduction and murder.
A plea hearing is scheduled for July 9, and a temporary trial date for October 25. Couzens has not made a statement on his behalf.
