A jury charged four people with the kidnap and murder of a Bradford bus driver in 2019.
The kidnappers took Asghar Badshah from Mayo Road in the early hours of November 30. Police found his body a month later on December 29 in a disused building in Catley. His body was in a wall cavity of an old bank. But, the case ran cold for nearly two years.
However, police arrested two men and two women in relation to the 39-year-old’s murder on May 20.
The jury charged Qaisar Shah, 36, from Bradford, with: murder, conspiracy to kidnap, and conspiracy to possess criminal property. Sabbah Shahmuradi, 36, from Woking, with: murder and conspiracy to kidnap. Sobia Syed, 37, and Zaban Syed, 60, from Bradford are charged with conspiracy to possess criminal property.
Akbar Badshah spoke of his twin and said, “He was the wrong man, in the wrong place.” The family waited over 18 months for justice.
All four charged appeared at Leeds Magistrate Court on May 23. However, police continue to follow numerous active lines of enquiry.
