Diani Gomez Sanchez, 16, went for a jog early Sunday morning when she is believed to be hit by a car.
Her body was found later Sunday off the 79th Street Causeway in Miami by a relative. Immediately after she didn’t return from her jog, Gomez Sanchez’s family began searching for her, passing out flyers.
The vehicle suspected of the hit-and-run is a gray or silver sedan with “major windshield damage on the passenger side,” according to a People news article.
Just yesterday, May 18th, authorities may have found the car that killed Gomez Sanchez. The light-colored sedan was parked not too far from the 79th Street Causeway. It had visible damage consistent with what investigators described.
The NBC 6 Digital Team published an article stating a neighbor saw the parked car in recent days saying, “The last couple of days it was parked there with a flat tire and a hit on the right hand side from the front to about the back door,” the neighbor said. “The windshield was busted.”
Police are still searching for the suspected driver.
