A Georgia man has been arrested in connection to the death of a 26-year-old man found murdered underneath a mattress on the side of the road.
45-year-old Margaton Achilles Dudley has been charged with one count of murder and one count of concealing the death of another, statement from Bibbs County Sheriff’s Office says.
On Friday May 7, a passerby walking along Churchill Street in Macon, Georgia discovered the body of a man who’d been shot to death. The victim was Amond Rashad Norwood of Macon. According to The Macon Telegraph, investigators believed he was shot and killed at another location and was then moved.
Dudley was arrested Friday night after an interview at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being held there without bond.
It is still not known what led the investigators to suspect Dudley of the crimes.
