An arrest is made in an attempted murder plot. Jaynie Smithson, 29, of Lebanon was arrested Wednesday after a family member suspected she hired someone to kill her. The family member, not identified, contacted Lebanon police with the concern.
Police confirmed during their investigation Smithson hired “at least one person” to murder her family member. In a WATE 6 news article, it states police arrested Smithson on “a charge of solicitation of first-degree murder.”
Smithson currently sits in Wilson County Jail with a bond of $750,000.
