This past Monday a Tennessee daughter and mother were killed when the daughter’s estranged husband broke into their home and shot them both before shooting himself.
Police were called to the scene at 1400 Whispering Oaks Drive in the Stone Bridge subdivision of Lebanon, a Nashville suburb, according to People.
The perpetrator, Shaun Varsos, 26, broke into their home around 7:30 AM that morning, “armed with a shotgun”, in a statement made by the Lebanon Police Department.
The victims were Varsos’ estranged wife, Marie Varsos 31, and her mother Deborah Sisco, 60. Both women ended up calling 911 for help before their deaths, authorities said.

Varsos is belived to have been shot and wounded during the shootout, before killing Marie and Deborah and leaving the scene. Later that day Varsos was found inside an SUV near his residence in an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Hardy states.
Before Marie’s death she had filed for divorce on March 4th of this year citing inrreconcilable differences, shown in court records obtained by News 4 Nashville. This came after Varsos attempted to strangle Marie and pointed a gun at her.
Varsos was released on 10% of his bond, in $3,000 on March 11th. Marie attempted to have an order of protection hearing on March 22nd but Varsos had postponed the hearing until April 19th.
The investigation is still ongoing as the victims’ family are processing this horrific incident.
