Serial Killer Joesph Edward Duncan, who was convicted of killing a 9-year-old boy, died in prison on Sunday.
Duncan, 58, had been previously diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
He was found guilty of the May 2005 kidnap and murder of Dylan Groene in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He admitted that he kidnapped Dylan after killing his mother, Brenda Groene, 40, her boyfriend Mark McKenzie, 37, and the boy’s 13-year-old brother, Slade Groene. He also kidnapped Dylan’s sister, who was rescued when the two were seen at a Coeur D’Alene Denny’s.
In addition to these murders, Duncan also confessed to killing multiple other children. One of those children was 10-year-old Anthony Martinez, whose mother stated on Sunday:
