This Florida Man Friday features a woman who was somehow let into a school with a “special weapon.”
Edith Riddle, 34, had been on campus at a middle school in Jacksonville, Florida, for a meeting with the vice-principal and her daughter. Rather than exit the building afterward, the daughter made a beeline for the cafeteria to fight a fellow female student with her mother not far behind.
Witnesses told police Riddle’s daughter shoved the student and threw some punches before the mom also allegedly began attacking the victim. The “punchline” is that the mother was wearing a boxing glove on her left hand which she claimed was super-glued to her wrist and she couldn’t remove it.
The girl who was attacked suffered bruises to her knees and forearms. She was later taken to a hospital for a follow-up evaluation. Her parents told authorities they wanted criminal charges filed against Riddle.
Riddle was arrested and charged with one count of child abuse with a personal/special weapon.
