A 41-year-old man died by suicide after murdering two coworkers at a supermarket in Wisconsin.
According to Fox News, a shooting occurred at a supermarket distribution centre 30 miles west of Milwaukee in Oconomowoc. Officers attended the scene at 22:32 on March 16. Although the police have not released any names, all three men were in their 40s according to Thomas Bennett, secretary-treasurer of General Teamsters Local Union. Police asked motorists to avoid the Highway 67 as the area around the facility was temporarily locked down.
According to police, officers spotted the suspect’s vehicle whilst investigating the scene. The suspect attempted to flee the pursuing officers, consequently crashing his vehicle. The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to the crash at 5:02 on March 17, but did not transport any victims from the scene. Later, police pronounced the suspect dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to trade union member Bennett, the suspect shot one man in the loading dock. The second victim obtained a fatal shot in the upper area of the facility. There are no reports on whether the shooter and victims had any previous dispute.
