A second woman turned herself into the police Sunday, after the video of an Uber driver attack went viral online.
Arna Kimaiai and Malaysia King attacked Uber driver Subhakar Khadka on March 7 in San Francisco, California. Khadka said that he stopped the car to ask the two women to put masks on, in order to comply with Uber’s mask policy. Then, things got violent.
According to News Nation Now, the two women asked if Khadka had a spare mask. When he said that he did not, the women started yelling, coughing, and physically attacking Khadka. In the video, taken on a dashboard camera, Kimaiai is seen trying to take Khadka’s cell phone.
“What’re you gonna do? What’re you gonna do,” Kimaiai shouted after Khadka attempted to retrieve the phone. She then pulled his own mask off.
Kimaiai turned herself into the San Francisco women’s jail around 7 p.m Sunday night. According to KPIX 5, she acted respectfully and responsibly after finding a warrant for her arrest. The warrant consisted of charges of robbery, assault and battery, conspiracy, and violation of health and safety code.
Kimaiai posted bond Monday, and has since been released.
