The body of a missing Illinois woman was found in a storage unit on Tuesday
Michelle Arnold-Boesiger, 33, was reported missing on January 3.
On Tuesday, officers showed up at a storage unit near Rockford with a search warrant. Inside, they found the remains of Arnold-Boesiger.
Police have not said what led them to the storage unit or what Arnold-Boesiger’s cause of death was.
“She was only here about six months,” said an old neighbour of Arnold-Boesiger, Meg Eyeta. “She was having issues and then she had to move out of state. And that’s the last I heard from her.”
“It was just all of a sudden, ‘I have to go,’ so I don’t know if she was having issues with someone,” Eyeta said. “This was a shock when I found this out.”
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call McHenry County Sheriff’s investigators at (815) 334-4750.
