Sixteen boaters went missing from various ports in Florida. The U.S. Coast Guard stated that 10 people were last seen together near Key West, while the other six were near Fort Pierce.
According to CBS News, the hunt for the Fort Pierce victims is suspended. Officials searched the area for a total of 140 hours and found nothing. However, they found the boat from Key West eight miles south of Long Key.
A good Samaritan rescued a Jamaican man Friday morning. The man said that he was a member of the six missing boaters from Fort Pierce. Additionally, he said the others went missing 23 miles offshore. Although the Coast Guard sent aid, they couldn’t find them.
