A Georgia babysitter is arrested and charged for the murder of 2-year-old Fallon Fridley on Tuesday. Kirstie Flood, 29, was a full-time babysitter who had taken care of Fallon since August, reveals Metro UK.
The investigation into 2-year-old Fallon’s murder started to unfold after the child was taken to Atlanta’s Children’s Healthcare Hospital on December 9 after the family found the toddler unconscious. She died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
According to CBS News, when police questioned Kirstie about the tragic death, she told officials that the 2-year-old girl had hit her head on a park slide and didn’t wake up afterward. Examiners quickly disproved Kirstie’s statement to police after the autopsy revealed that 2-year-old Fallon had been killed after suffering from multiple injuries.
Police arrested Kirstie Flood in Sandy Springs, Georgia, on Tuesday for the murder of 2-year-old Fallon Fridley. She is charged with two counts of felony murder, one count of malice murder, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of first-degree cruelty to children.
Investigators would later uncover disturbing evidence of Kirstie’s intent after she google searched, “what type of people enjoy abusing other people’s children” and “what does it mean to have a sudden urge to beat a child that’s not yours,” according to WSB-TV. As of today, police are holding Kirstie in jail while she awaits her next court hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
