The California Governor Gavin Newsom has blocked parole for Manson follower Leslie Van Houten for the second time, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Houten is serving a life sentence for her involvement in the murder of Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary in 1969. She is most infamous for being the youngest follower involved in the incident at the time (19-years-old) and smearing the blood of her victims on their home’s wall.

Houten has served 50 years and was eligible for parole in July and earlier this year due to coronavirus but both of those decisions have been reversed by the governor. Houten’s attorney intends to appeal the decision.
