Ahh! The End of 2020 is almost coming to a close! While Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, Christmas tops it off! Although this has been a tough year, spending time with family at home, opening up presents, and watching movies all day is the hallmark of what Christmas is all about. However, if your Christmas spirit likes to be on the more spooky/funny side, I have got you covered with a variety of flicks anyone can enjoy on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon! So, here are the top eight Christmas movies that you and your family can watch. Happy Holidays!

1.) Home Alone/Home Alone 2

Is Kevin McCallister a murderino? Honestly, after reading I’ll Be Gone in the Dark about the Golden State Killer,I took inspiration from Home Alone on how to set up booby traps around my house to warn myself about a possible home invasion! This holiday classic also stars Catherine O’Hara, AKA Moira Rose.

As a resident of Halloweentown, we love the mashup of Christmas with Halloween.  We strive to keep the Halloween spirit alive all year round!

3.) How the Grinch Stole Christmas

It’s really no wonder why so many of us got into true crime at a young age when you consider we were warned by Dr. Seuss that some grumpy man could potentially dress up as Santa and come steal all of our Christmas presents.

4.)Muppet’s Christmas Carol

Yes, another classic children’s Christmas story, FILLED WITH GHOSTS AND THE GRIM REAPER! We love this spooky but adorable retelling of Dickens’ holiday story!

5.) Krampus

Who hasn’t accidentally summoned a Christmas demon into your home this time of the year?  Super relatable.
