A missing 21-year-old man who disappeared on September 22 is found dead on Thursday. Juan Hernandez was working at the “VIP Collective LA” in the 8100 block of Western Avenue in South Los Angeles when he mysteriously vanished.
According to ABC 7, his car had been found two days later with the engine left running not far away from his job. Sadly, the investigation into the disappearance of Juan Hernandez came to an end when officials found his remains in a shallow grave in an area North of Barstow near Interstate 15.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office positively identified him as the missing 21-year-old. NBC Los Angeles reports that by the time The LA City Council helped offer a reward for Juan’s whereabouts, detectives had already figured out what happened to the missing 21-year-old.
On Thursday morning, detectives from the LAPD’S Robbery Homicide Division and officers from The Metropolitan Division’s Swat team served two search warrants and consequential arrests of Ethan Astaphan, 27, and Sonita Heng, 20, on suspicion of murder.
As of today, the investigation into Juan Hernandez’s death is ongoing.
