Alleged baby killer and nurse Lucy Letby was arrested for the third time after an additional five infant deaths were discovered by investigators. Letby was initially charged in 2018 with the deaths of eight babies and attempted murder of six babies while she worked at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Letby was released on bail after two days of questioning but was arrested for the second time when investigators found strong evidence of her involvement in an additional three infant deaths in England.
Letby’s victims were mostly under 32 weeks and premature. Along with investigations into Letby, investigators found evidence of unsafe practices used at the hospital including scheduling errors, insufficient doctors, and poor decisions made by staff.
