A Florida man shot and killed his girlfriend Sunday and wounded another woman.
Christopher Michael Pequeen who had recently been released from jail reportedly had a fight with his girlfriend early in the morning. The girlfriend fled to their roommates’ room and told them Pequeen had attempted to strangle her.
3 hours later, Pequeen came into the room with a handgun and shot his girlfriend in the chest. The female roommate attempted to block the girlfriend from Pequeen, but he then shot the roommate once and the girlfriend again multiple times.
Pequeen then took the phones of everyone from the male roommate and escaped into the fields next to the duplex. The roommates went next door to call 911 and Pequeen was found by police using dogs and drones.
The girlfriend was pronounced dead on the scene while the shot roommate is now recovering in hospital. The victims have not been named yet.
Christopher Michael Pequeen was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, shooting into a building, tampering with physical evidence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, robbery with a firearm, tampering in felony life proceeding, battery of a police dog, and resisting an officer without violence.
