Timothy Eugene Moore, 34, has been arrested and charged with the death of Michigan woman, Egypt Covington. The ‘Country Idol’ winning singer was found dead in 2017, according to Crimeonline.
Moore was arrainged Sunday on a count of homicide at the 34th District Court in Romulu. He has been denied bond, according to Click on Detroit.
Covington, 27, was last seen alive at a yoga class on June 22, 2017, according to PEOPLE.
According to police, Covington was shot behind the ear, and her hands were bound with Christmas lights.
Detectives always thought the killing wasn’t random, and that she knew her killer.
Chuck Covington, her father, said he went through a wave of emotions when he got a call from police saying arrests were made.
“It’s something we never would have wanted to go through in the first place,” he said, saying his daughter could “light up a room.”
