A mother was found dead alongside her 7-year-old twin daughters in a murder-suicide on Saturday, October 24. Michele Boudreau Deegan, 55, is believed to have drugged 7-year-old Mary Anneleise and Katie Elizabeth before killing them and herself.

According to The New York Post, police received a call to Deegan’s multi-level residence in Sudden Valley, Washington, around 1:15 pm after a roommate found them dead in their upstairs bedroom.

On Thursday, examiners revealed that Michele had drugged her daughters with large amounts of sedatives. According to, investigators believe that Deegan drugged them to render them unconscious. Afterward, she shot them point-blank before turning the gun on herself.

Washington officials later found a handgun in Deegan’s possession that were consistent with the murders and Deegan’s suicide.
The Daily Mail reports that Deegan had been in a custody battle with her ex-husband before their deaths several days ago.

Authorities believe that this might have been the motive behind the killings and her subsequent suicide. As of today, her husband is cleared of any suspicion in their deaths.

Police reveal that Deegan had planned the murder-suicide over several days. She had also posted an article on her website the day she murdered her daughters,¬†titled “Narcissistic Parents Are Literally Incapable of Loving Their Children.”

According to The New York Post, Deegan had been dealing with mental health issues during her divorce and custody battle over her twin daughters. Days later, she would drug and shoot her two 7-year-olds before killing herself in a murder-suicide.
