Police find a Florida couple dead in their apartment on Anna Marie Island on October 17. It was an ordinary Saturday afternoon when Sabrina Marie Dumdei, 37, and Zachary John Winton, 34, were found dead in their complex.
Police also found blood splattered on the glass sliding door and a bloodstained plastic chair on the balcony. Although officials have ordered an examination into the manner of their death, new information hasn’t been released.
Crime Online reports that police have previously visited the couple’s apartment for domestic violence. On August 29, Winton was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with a witness, false imprisonment, and domestic battery.
The New York Post states that Winton was going to “kill her. “If I get charged with felonies, I’ll kill her then myself. I will cut her throat”. Officials prohibited him from having any contact with his girlfriend. The next month, police arrested Dumdei for throwing an object at Winton. They later dropped the charges against her.
According to News Break, police later dropped Winton’s charges. They lifted his no-contact order in mid-September. As of today, officials have no further leads or suspects in the couple’s murder. The investigation is ongoing.
