A Texas couple was charged Monday for the capital murder of an 8-year-old girl under their care. The two after denying food and water to the girl forced her to jump on a 110 degree trampoline as punishment. Aug. 19 police arrived on a medical call to the home and pronounced the girl dead on the scene.
The girl’s autopsy report showed she had died from dehydration and the death was ruled a homicide. Daniel and Ashely Shwarz are now being held at the Ector County Detention Center. The girl’s family say that the couple were not the girl’s parents but temporary guardians.
