Alika Crew, 42, of New Rochelle, NY was arraigned Wednesday.
Crew attacked her former fiance’s new girlfriend on July 28, lunging at her from a crouched position behind the driver’s seat in the victim’s car. The victim jumped out, but Crew caught up soon after, slicing her neck with a razor blade.
According to a press release from the Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr., Crew was arrested Wednesday on charges of:
- second-degree attempted murder, three counts
- first-degree assault-two counts
- second-degree assault,
- first-degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal possession of a weapon
This attack happened just a couple blocks from where Crew and her ex were still living together. The victim had been trying to drive away after spending the night.
According to People, when neighbors came out concerned, Crew fled, only to return minutes later pretending to be another worried neighbor.
When police arrived, the victim identified Crew and was arrested at the scene.
Crew is now out on bail, but is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 2.
