Officer arrested for the murder of a Texas man fatally shot while breaking up a fight

The Wolfe City white police officer who shot the 31-year-old Jonathan Price at a gas station Sunday has been arrested and charged with murder, according to nbc12.

Officer Shaun David Lucas responded to a disturbance call for a possible fight in progress.

On arrival he tried to detain Price, then saying he resisted in a non-threatening posture and walked away. Lucas then used his Taser on Price and afterward shot him.

Price’s family told NPR that he died from three gunshot wounds in the hospital.

Lucas is currently being held in Hunt County Jail on a $1 million bond.
