A Georgia, Mableton man has been sentenced on Tuesday to 40 years in prison for the sexual exploitation and coercion of 150 girls. According to KTLA5, 25-year-old Benjamin Jenkins was convicted on January 16 for nine counts of producing child pornography and three counts for distributing it. Jenkins will be on supervised release and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, explains The New York Post.
According to U.S. Attorney Byung J. Pak, Jenkins first started to use fake profiles in 2015 to lure minors, girls from 13 to 16 years old. He persuaded them to send sexual photos and then threatened to post them online if he didn’t receive more. The Department of Justice reports that Jenkins would tell the minors which pose and body parts to show. Then, he would suggest girls to pleasure themselves with objects. If Jenkins was not satisfied or a girl wouldn’t comply, he would release the content online and send it to their families and friends.
This predator used his power over young girls for his gratification and robbed them of their innocence. It will take a long time before they recover from their physical, mental, and emotional trauma that Jenkins has caused.
