.) Watch a classic horror movie: Watching a horror movie has been a traditional pastime for years. During quarantine, the best thing you can do is stay at home and watch a movie with your family. So, grab your popcorn and candy corn and get ready for a night of fright! My top recommendation this year is The Nightmare Before Christmas! This is one of the top classic movies created by none other than Tim Burton. This movie, which was released in 1993, acts as both a Halloween and a Christmas movie. It’s viewable for kids and adults, so everyone is welcome!
.) Create homemade jack-o lanterns: This will be the first Halloween in which we have to stay at home during quarantine due to COVID-19. You will probably not be able to carve pumpkins this year, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make homemade ones! This is a safe and environmentally-friendly activity that anyone can join in, so don’t be afraid to have some fun!
.) Bake Halloween Treats: Baking treats and deserts are probably one of the best parts of Halloween. You can bake with your close friends via facetime, of course, or bake with your family or by yourself. Whatever you choose to do, don’t forget to have sweets and deserts this Halloween. Otherwise, how else can you binge on Netflix or your favorite movie? It would be a disaster!
.) Have a costume contest: Staying indoors doesn’t mean that you can’t dress up or have fun! Wearing a costume is a must, whether you’re trick or treating or, in this case, at home with your family. Make it a fun activity by creating your own ghoulish costumes and showing your unique style!
.) Create a haunted house: Nothing screams Halloween more than a haunted house! Go crazy, be inventive, and have fun! You don’t have to waste all your money to decorate your home. Try making homemade decorations, a spooky staircase, a haunted hallway, a creepy living room. The best part about doing a haunted house is that you get to do an activity with your loved ones together at home! So don’t forget to add the cobwebs and icky insects.
