Monday police testified in the murder trial of Joesph Oberhansley who is accused of killing, dismembering, and eating parts of his ex-girlfriend’s body. Police testified to a welfare check on Tammy Jo Blanton after she failed to show up at work in 2014.
Police found Oberhansley at Blanton’s home acting “nervous” and with blood on his hands. While police searched the house they found more bloodstains on various furniture and walls. The body of Blanton was found in her bathtub, dismembered.
Now in 2020 movement can begin on Oberhansley’s sentencing after he was declared competent to stand trial in August.
