38-year-old man murdered
A 38-year-old man is beaten and shot to death on Sunday, September 13, in Dallas, Texas. At around 5:00 am, the Dallas police received a call reporting a shooting. Officials arrived at 4330 Dickason Avenue, reports NBC5. They found David Eugene Young lying unresponsive outside a residence. According to CBS11, a witness who reported the shooting filmed the murder of Young on video. She witnessed a man chasing Young and claimed that he was beating the victim to death. Later, the Dallas fire-rescue pronounced Young dead. CBS11 reports that the woman filmed the perpetrator attacking Young until he saw her filming and tried chasing her till she got back into her apartment.
Suspect arrested and charged for murder
After the witness ran back into her apartment, the suspect tried to run away. Before he can escape, Bell was struck by a car. According to Dallas Voice, Dallas Fire-Rescue took 30-year-old Kameron Michael Bell to the nearest hospital. After discharging him, police took Bell to the Dallas PD Homicide Unit. There, detectives interviewed him about the death of David Eugene Young. Investigators charged Bell with murder and took him to the Dallas County Jail. Dallas police Information Officer Carlos Almeida confirmed that Young did indeed die of a gunshot wound, reports the Dallas Voice. Officials haven’t released the Bell’s motive but states that the case remains open.
