Prosecutors on Sunday said Michael Caraway was already wanted for murder when he allegedly led at least 13 Illinois State Police vehicles on an 11-mile chase through the south suburbs that reached speeds of 120 mph.

He is accused of attempting to evade capture Friday morning by driving over a median and grass on the cloverleaf-shaped ramp at the Sibley Boulevard exit from the Bishop Ford Freeway, before popping a tire, authorities said.
