Toronto Man Stabbed by Teenage Girls Identified

According to ABC News, the Toronto man who was stabbed to death by a group of teenage girls was identified on Jan.10, 2023. The Toronto Police Service named the 59-year-old victim as Ken Lee. Lee was an immigrant from Hong Kong who moved into Toronto’s shelter system in recent months. 

The fatal stabbing occurred around 12:17 am on Dec. 18 in the University Avenue and York Street region of the city, according to the New York Post. A woman who witnessed the attack stated that Lee was stabbed while defending her when the eight girls allegedly attempted to take a bottle of liquor, according to ABC News.

According to the New York Post all eight teenagers, ranging from 13 to 16 years old have been charged with second-degree murder and remain in custody. Their last court appearance was on Dec. 29, 2022. There have been no updates made at this time.
